The area around the villa

Villa Rodanthi is located on a hillside close to the village of Episkopi, overlooking the long stretch of beach that lines the coastline. Offering tremendous sea views, privacy and an amazing landscape, your holiday will be unforgettable.

The villa is located just a 15 minute drive west of Rethymno. There are local tavernas in Episkopi and Gerani and plenty of beach tavernas, lining the beach. Kavros village is nearby and is the closest area for all the necessary facilities such as shops, mini markets, pharmacies, tavernas, restaurants and bars. Georgioupoli waterfront village is at the end of the long stretch of beach which extends from Episkopi and offers all kinds of shops, sandy beaches and a picturesque small church, reached via a rocky sea path. Other attractive spots near the villa include Kournas Lake, the only natural freshwater lake in Crete, as well as Argiroupoli village, well-known for the small spring waterfalls and the amount of great, traditional taverns under the big trees! 

Rethymno town is just a short drive away with its beautiful Turkish and Venetian architecture. With a plethora of tavernas and fine dining restaurants, boutiques, cafes, fortress, museums and art culture, Rethymno is not to be missed. As the sun sets over Rethymno town, the atmosphere changes under the twinkling night sky.
